The Best of 2013: Fall to Winter

The Best of 2013: October, November, December

Wrapping up 2013 with a few good dishes -- it was a good year for discovering new recipes and my resolution for 2014 is to come back to some favorites.

- In the make over and over again category: Melissa Clark's Garlicky Chicken with Lemon-ANchovy Sauce -- it comes together in just 25 minutes and the sauce is great with anything!

- A good choice for a weekend dinner on the grill: Fine Cooking's Hanger Steak with Spicy Miso Glaze

- This sheet pan supper of Curried Chicken Drumsticks from A Little Yumminess were a hit, I substituted winter squash for the carrots

- My family loves flatbread of all kinds and this Socca recipe from The Kitchn did not disappoint

- We're also a fan of virtually every version of chicken and rice, including this easy recipe from Dinner a Love Story

- Chowhound's Braised Pork Chops and Fennel was a hit

- Smitten Kitchen's German Pancakes make a great weekend breakfast

- Roast carrots tossed in olive oil, pepper, salt, and cumin seeds, in the last 10 minutes toss with some honey and ground coriander, serve with chopped cilantro and garlicky yogurt
